Manual Driving Lessons
Manual lessons with Kent Test Driving School cover everything from your first clutch-bite right through to test readiness on local test routes.
Clutch and gears
Smooth clutch control is the foundation of confident manual driving. Your instructor breaks it down into pull-aways, hill starts, junctions and progressive gear changes — practised until they feel automatic.
Road skills
Junctions, roundabouts, dual carriageways, lane discipline, meeting traffic, country roads, urban driving and independent driving with sat-nav directions.
Manoeuvres
All four DVSA manoeuvres: parallel parking, bay parking (forward and reverse), and pulling up on the right and reversing two car lengths.
Test preparation
Mock test sessions on the local test routes used by your nearest DVSA centre, with examiner-style feedback on faults and minors.
